The first date isn’t easy, you don’t know much about each other, and in an attempt to fill any silent moments you may say things that you wouldn’t normally!
For us, this rules out a restaurant as the first date venue. Whilst you can impress more with a restaurant, you’re making the whole experience a lot more difficult. Save the restaurant for date number two or three, but please don’t order the Spaghetti, you’ll win nobody over with Bolognaise sauce running down your chin!
Our top tip for a first date venue combines both popcorn and a pint, by visiting the Showcase Cinema, but read on as we’ll do a little more to make it that bit better.
The Showcase Cinema in Nottingham offers Premier Seating in a few of their screens, and it’s a must that you try this out for a first date.
It’ll cost you around £15 a ticket, but with a large sofa for two at the back of the screen room, a plate of snacks to share, and a box of chocolates each, this will set the right comfort level at the right price!.
Whatsmore, Premier Seating allows you access to the bar at the Showcase, so a quick drink before, then another after can be added to the night. You’ll also already have something in common to talk about, having just spent the last two hours watching the same film!
