Reel Cinemas is a relatively new chain of Cinema’s started in 2001 and based around the North and Midlands of the Country. The Newark branch consists of 5 dolby digital screens (unfortunately none of the screens are able to offer 3D viewing), a refreshments cafe, a box office, and a concessions kiosk.

Reel, much like most mainstream Cinemas, offer up deals on different days of the week, such as Senior Citizens Day; held on Mondays where tickets cost £3.80 all day for Seniors, and they also offer special services for events such as Private bookings, meetings and conferences, Children’s parties, gift vouchers to go and see your favourite films, discount for those in the Armed forces (with a valid ID card) and Reel even offer you the chance to enter competitions to win DVDs and classic film memorabilia.

Being one of the smaller Cinemas, Reel in Newark has a homely feeling, with all areas in close proximity to one another without being too crowded, whilst still offering customers the chance to see all the best new Hollywood blockbusters. As there is a smaller number of screens, some films do have a fair few hours between each screening, so do make sure to check times on Reel’s website before going to catch a flick, otherwise you could be in for a wait.

On a regular day, ticket prices are more or less what you would expect; weekday adult tickets are £5.80, whilst Friday night and weekend tickets are £6.50, under 15s and OAPs are priced at £4.80 all year round whilst Student tickets are priced at £5.50 during the week and £5.80 on Friday nights and weekends, but bargain hunters do beware; being a rather small chain, Reel do not participate in the Orange Wednesday two-for-one deals.
