Serving award winning food since 1982, Perkins restaurant, located on Station Road just outside the City, is owned and run by the Perkins Family business and has recently re-launched itself under the name of 'Perkins Evolution'. The new Perkins has moved the restaurant into a more modern age with differing menus to match the season, and indeed weekday, at hand.
The Monday – Thursday Menu as well as the Friday to Saturday Menu, serves lunch between 12pm and 2pm, Afternoon foods between 2pm and 6pm and Evening meals from 6pm until 12 midnight. Each separate menu includes first courses, most of which are under £10, with larger portions ranging up to £15 and main courses which can be enjoyed by meat lovers and vegetarians alike for under £20.
On a Sunday, Perkins Restaurant serves food only between the hours of 12pm to 3.30pm, yet offers deals of two courses for £14.95 and three courses for £18.50. For first course meals on a Sunday, Perkins offers simple dishes from Garlic Bread to Soup to Chicken Liver Pate. As expected Perkins Sunday mains revolve around the traditional Sunday Roasts, including Loin of Porn, Sirloin of Beef and Roast Chicken, and for those die hard cockneys that might be living in Nottingham, Perkins will even rustle you up a plate of Bubble and Squeak.
As a part of the 'Perkins Evolution' the restaurant is now also offering up a 'Chef's Table' menu, designed for 8-10 people to share some of Perkins Head Chef's top dishes, but beware, the 'Chef's Table' might only be for special occasions as it can cost up to £37.50 per head.
Perkins offers a drinks menu which contains a wide variety of your favourite tipples, such as wines, champagnes, cocktails and liqueurs. It has even been rumoured that Perkins actually bought in a group of Wine experts in to supervise the list, so you’d have a good excuse to try every wine on the menu!
