Centrally located in the Cornerhouse, Strada is the ideal place to eat if you want a taste of Italy without having to leave the comfort of Nottingham. Relax and enjoy the wonderful Italian ambience with their selection of fine regional wines and local produce imported from the heart of Italy.
It doesn’t break the bank either! Strada, being a group of restaurants located all around the UK, offer various money-saving deals. By simply joining the Strada club online you can benefit from 2 main courses for £10 as well as other offers they send you throughout the year. Also they often do 2 for 1 main courses (you can get this as a student with a Cornerhouse card at this very moment). At those prices who could refuse to accompany you? As well as all this they also do a set lunch menu for £7.50 consisting of a main course and a drink.
The food itself is delicious and the portions aren’t half bad either – I found myself unable to finish a mammoth plate of Risotto ai Frutti di Mare, not for lack of trying. With their winter menu recently launched as well, it’s worth the visit to get warmed up from this cold Nottingham weather. After trying their new Costata di Manzo (rib-eye steak with various roasted vegetables) you won’t be feeling a chill for days! Their dessert menu is great too. I, for one, cannot resist the temptation of a tiramisu when it’s offered and at Strada it doesn’t disappoint.
The location is perfect for pre-theatre dinners as it’s a minutes walk away from the Royal Centre. But for those who like to dine at a more continental hour, do not fear – Strada stays open until 11.00pm every night except for Sundays when it closes at 10.30pm, and the friendly staff won’t rush you through your meal.
You can even book your table on their award-winning website so there’s no excuse to hesitate!
